while i really like the background music to it all, the lyrics are something else entirely.
in one of the songs it says “falling, like trash from the sky” - that song reminded me of ‘streetlights’ - good background music/chorus but with stupid fucking lyrics like “bad sex and ethanol/high scores on solitaire“
they moan about how little time they had making TLML but lyrically, it was their best and most creative album. i think they need to be shoved into a corner so they don’t have time to actually think about what they’re saying.
and yet, i moan about this but i’ll still buy the album & go see them live (only for rob, omg - it’s starting again)
tlml is such a good fucking album. and i still maintain that ritual sucks shit in comparison.
in february i will of officially been a white lies fan for 4 years. in march would mark the first time i officially bought tlml and not just repeat it on youtube.

i’m the worst fan this year.
but it’s so different and experimental and i like this cover and how it begins/the chorus but idk about the rest. all of their other covers had a hint of them but this is really weird IF THIS IS THE THIRD ALBUM SOUNDS IDK IF I WANT THIS OR NOT.
lol i’m so thankful white lies decided to take a year off because so far this year i’ve seen;
and in october it’s grizzly bear time. so out of the 4 i’ve seen two bands that are in my top 5 favourite-ever, which means i’ve seen all of them.
and bruce is in another favourite list of ‘classics’ so omg.
and i’m considering going to see band of skulls, but idk.
and i’m sure someone else will announce something before the year is through.
